We are asking for your help in spreading the word....
Please encourage your students to take part in the Saturday Environmental Field Trips! Students may earn up to 4 hours for each Saturday they attend. This wonderful community service opportunity for our students in sponsored by the Key Club and the Environmental Club but all interested students are welcome to come along. Come out and represent your club or your team.
Payment ($4.00 per Saturday) and field trip forms are available in the cafeteria during lunch, and at Key Club meetings. Also, please remind your students to return their signed field trip forms.
For our last Saturday event, on Jan. 23rd, some 60 students removed exotics at Tropical Park and cut back overgrown vines at Countyline Scrub Preserve.

Good morning Period 1. I will not be in today (no clapping) but here is your assignment for the class:
You may work in groups of 2 students, no more than 2! Search and read 5 articles (dates within the last 3 years and minimum of 1 page each if you were to print it)
1. Google or Bing "Articles on Careers in Hospitality and Tourism"; the following is a sample website: http://www.articlesbase.com/college-and-university-articles/choose-hospitality-tourism-management-as-your-career-after-inte-947694.html
2. Articles must have been written within the last 3 years and must be at least 1 complete page long if you were to print them
3. Read each article; for each article, type the title, date of the article, author and website using Word
4. Summarize each article in a 5 sentence paragraph.
5. On the top of your paper, type your name(s), date and Period 1
6. Save with your names in your File Box Account online (or your jump drive) and upload to my Period 1 File on the portal.
7. To be completed by the end of the class.
